Geological Layers and Formation Stages of Natural Stones

Jeolojik Katmanlar ve Doğal Taşların Oluşum Evreleri

The formation of natural stones occurs through geological processes that last millions of years in the earth's crust. These processes include the formation of magmatic , metamorphic and sedimentary stones.

    1. Igneous Stage : When magma cools and crystallizes, rocks such as granite and basalt are formed.
    2. Sedimentary Stage : Sedimentary rocks and minerals accumulate under the influence of water and wind and form stones such as limestone .
    3. Metamorphic Stage : Existing stones change under high pressure and temperature and turn into metamorphic stones such as marble and schist .

These stages determine the mineral structure, color and durability of the stones.
